Two builds, the same code
The Euro-Office project publishes its own installers. They are not signed: there is no digital signature showing who made the file. Windows and macOS therefore warn you, and the project itself says these builds are not meant for managed computers.
Nextcloud, one of the participants, builds the same code and does sign it. That build is called Nextcloud Office. The Euro-Office documentation recommends it to anyone who wants to try or use the editors. We follow that advice: the START key gives you that build.

Windows
For Windows 10 and 11. Most PCs have an Intel or AMD processor (x64). If your laptop has a Snapdragon chip, choose ARM.

How to install
- Click the download button and wait for the
.exefile. - Open the file from your Downloads folder.
- Windows asks whether the app may make changes. Choose Yes and follow the installer.
- Start Nextcloud Office from the Start menu.
Using the community build?
Windows then shows ‘Windows protected your PC’. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only do this if you downloaded the file from github.com/Euro-Office and the checksum matches.

macOS

How to install
- Click the download button and wait for the
.dmgfile. It is just over 1 GB. - Open the file. A window with the app appears.
- Drag Nextcloud Office into the Applications folder.
- Open the app from Applications. The first time, macOS asks whether you want to open an app from the internet: choose Open.
Using the community build?
macOS then says the app cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. Only do this if the checksum matches.

How to install
- Download the package for your distribution.
- Open a terminal in your Downloads folder.
- Install the package with the command below.
- Start Nextcloud Office from your applications menu.
