Which one do I need?

Then you need the desktop app. You install it like any other program. Your files stay on your own computer, and you need no account or internet connection to work.

The app can also connect to cloud storage, including Nextcloud, so you can open and save files there.

Then you may already have Euro-Office, in your browser, with nothing to install. To check:

1. Log in to your work or school's Nextcloud.
2. Click a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.
3. Does it open in an editor with tabs at the top (Home, Insert, Layout)? Then you are using Euro-Office or a similar editor.

In Nextcloud, the Euro-Office integration is called Nextcloud Office. Note that there is also Nextcloud Office (Collabora), a different editor based on LibreOffice. Not sure which one you have? Ask your administrator.

Want to work outside the browser on the same files? Install the desktop app and connect it to your Nextcloud.

Then you need the Document Server: the software behind the browser editors. It runs on a Linux server and works together with a platform such as Nextcloud or Odoo. On its own it does nothing.
